Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 26 September 2026

This page explains how to ask The Checklist Co., Ltd. to delete personal data held in The Checklist AI, and what happens when you do. To ask us to delete your data, email us at privacy@thechecklist.ai.

Who this page is for

This page covers two different groups of people. The first group is a shop's staff, who sign in and use the app. The second group is a shop's customers, who chat with the shop.

If you are a member of a shop's staff, ask us directly. The next section tells you how.

If you are a shop's customer, the shop decides how your data is used. Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the shop is the controller of its own customers' data and we are a processor. This means we act on the shop's instruction, so ask the shop first. You may still email us, and we will pass your request to the shop.

How to make the request

  1. Email us at privacy@thechecklist.ai with "Data deletion request" in the subject line.
  2. Tell us which shop or account your request is about.
  3. Tell us how we can recognise you in that account: the email address of your staff account, or your name and the app you use to message the shop, such as LINE.
  4. Tell us what you want deleted.

We handle every request by hand and reply to every request.

What we do with your data

Section 33 of the PDPA lets the controller erase, destroy or anonymise personal data. These three are alternatives, and anonymising the data satisfies the law on its own. This means we may remove or scramble the details that identify a person instead of removing every record.

When we erase a person's data, we erase the text of their messages and the photos sent in their chat.

What stays, and why

Some records may stay. Section 33 does not apply where keeping the data is necessary for legal claims or for compliance with the law. When we keep a record, we tell the person what we kept and why.

Messages from a connected channel

If a shop connects a channel on LINE, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp or TikTok, we receive the messages sent through that channel and store them like the rest of the shop's data. The same email request covers all of these messages.

Deleting data from our app does not delete anything inside LINE, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or TikTok. To delete data inside those services, use the controls each service provides.

Requests sent from inside Facebook

A person who connected a shop with their Facebook login can send a data deletion request from Facebook's own settings.

When such a request reaches us, we disable that connection in every shop that Facebook login authorised, and we delete the Facebook sign-in details we hold. Facebook then shows a confirmation code and a link to a status page that tells the person what we did.

That path does not delete messages or contacts. Ask us by email for those, as described above. It does not delete anything inside Facebook either.

Your other rights

The PDPA gives you more rights over your personal data. Our Privacy Policy lists them in full. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
